 About Us

ANDREA M. FAIR, ESQ.

Fair Construction Liens was founded by Andrea M. Fair, Esquire.  Andrea has been an attorney in Florida since 1993 and is board certified by the Florida Bar as an expert in construction law.  Certification is the highest level of recognition by the Florida Bar of the competency and experience of attorneys in the areas of law approved for certification by the Supreme Court of Florida.  Lawyers certified in construction law deal with matters relating to the design and construction of improvements on private and public projects including, but not limited to: construction dispute resolution; contract negotiation, preparation, award and administration, lobbying in governmental hearings; oversight and document review; construction scheduling analysis and delay claims; lending and insurance; construction licensing; and the analysis and litigation of problems arising out of the Florida Construction Lien Law and the federal Miller Act.  For an attorney to become board certified in construction law, the attorney must: possess the minimum number of years of experience; dedicate a substantial portion of her practice to construction legal matters; receive significant continuing legal education in construction-related legal courses; pass an examination administered by the Florida Bar demonstrating knowledge, skills, and proficiency in the field of construction law; and have passed peer review.  Board certified lawyers are preeminent in competence and ethics.

Also, Andrea has been selected for inclusion on the Florida Super Lawyers list for 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010 under Construction Litigation.  Only 5% of Florida attorneys have been named to the list.  Attorneys are selected through an extensive process of balloting, blue ribbon panel review, and independent research.  Law & Politics is the only legal publisher that identifies qualified candidates by using a multi-step evaluation process that incorporates peer recognition and professional achievement.  The first step is the creation of the candidate pool through a statewide survey of attorneys and an independent candidate search.  Next, the candidates are evaluated by the Law & Politics research department where many factors are considered such as experience, honors and awards, special certifications, scholarly lectures and articles, and educational and employment background.  Then a blue ribbon panel is convened for peer evaluation by practice area.
